Kundalini Awakening Systems 1
"Prayer" by Tara Jacoby
My eyes look up to you, Lord, as I pray.
You notice my little sighs.
Awaiting my tale of woe, you let me know that you're close by.
I tell of the worst day in the world...then I cry.
You smile, because you know I'm still just a little girl…on the inside.
All alone, I sometimes feel. Then I remember that you're here.
I'm just one little being, in this huge world of people.
Still, you spend your time...and hear me.
No matter how repetitive my complaints, you won't turn me away.
You ask that I do the same for others, throughout the day.
You hear my pleas for others' blessings.
You feel my genuine gratitude, for every loving thing you do.
My life is richer, for believing in you.
Even at the very end of my rambling, you haven't forgotten my point.
You have a remedy for each and every complaint.
Every hurt, you lessen, because you trust I'll forgive my friends.
Every tear, you kiss away. For with others, you know I'll do the same.
You let me cry out my sadness, and you cleanse me with healing rain.
In the very depths of my soul, I hear you say;
Do for others, what I am doing for you.
Then you'll feel my presence, always with you.
If you do what I'm asking, you will have peace.
So comforting, these words are to me.
Then you direct an orchestra of crickets, to lull me into sleep.
You send your angels with sweet dreams...to wisp me away.
Reminding me all the while, that you listen, when I pray.
